Tbilisi

- Spend a week in the beautiful city Tbilisi. The origin of the name Tbilisi (which came from the Georgian word “tbili”, or warm) indicates the nature of the city and its people. The capital city of Georgia prides itself on its warm hospitality and rich cultural life. Its location between Europe and Asia and its status as one of the oldest cities in the world make it a prime spot for travelers interested in both ancient history and current events in Eurasia.

Georgian Folk Dances and music

The most famous national dish is Khachapuri (bread filled with cheese); Shashlik, Salads, and mushroom dishes are also inevitable at mealtime.

  • - Sightseeing tour - Tbilisi old city.

  • Tuesday, Day 2:
  • - Introducing Regions of Georgia, culture and traditions
  • - Visit Ethnographic Museum and Turtle Lake

  • Wednesday, Day 3:
  • - Georgian Language and writing (short course)
  • - Trip to Mtskheta, Jvari and Svetitskhoveli churches

  • Thursday, Day 4:
  • - Russian Language and writing (short course)
  • - Georgian Folk Dances and Music
  • - Visit Georgian Folk Dance ensamble (short course)

  • Friday, Day 5:
  • - Georgian Cuisine and Wines
  • - Visit Joseph Stalin’s museum in Gori & Cave castle Uplistsikhe ("the lord's fortress")
  • - Farewell Dinner at Restaurant with Georgian Music.

PARTICIPATION FEE: 700 EURO
